| In lieu of Trenticus and his lack of postings for the last several
months, I, Richard the Lionheart have taken it upon myself to
rectify the situation and post for him. Without further adieu, I bring
you the story of this week:
It all began with the harmless joking about killing
our teachers because of how hard the end of the semester is. It's like
you work so hard all semester just to end up being punched in the face,
kicked in the shin, and pushed down a flight of stairs all at the same
time. Joking about killing teachers is just like joking about going
streaking, you don't know how the other person feels about it, so
you're just testing the waters, but deep down you really want to do it.
Both me and Trent have ridiculous teachers. Seriously, who would ask
students to write a paper that sumarises 5000 +/- 1000 pages of reading
and everything covered in the course into a 10 page report due the last
day of finals. Trent's teacher was more boring the Ben Stein, more
ridiculous than a Christmas pick up line in the middle of Summer, and
as uncooperative as Terrel Owens.
So here's how it went down. It is known that one of
the professors rides his bicycle from his office up in Sarkey's Energy
Center to the classroom down on south campus. It was decided that this
was the most opportune moment to take advantage of his vulnerability.
The best day was presented when we woke up and the ground was covered
in snow. It would be too easy to accidently run a stop light and hit
him as he crossed Lindsey on his bike, so a most ingenious plan was
devised. A friend of ours has an amazing talent for throwing knives. We
enlisted his talents to barage the teacher with icicles. He has such
great accuracy that the professor got caught with an icicle in the
eyeball.
Trent's Human Resources Management teacher proposed
a whole other challenge. This one had to be creative and at the same
time horrific. We had to be very careful because of the recent events
that have transpired, so it was decided that this act would take place
in his office. The office that Trent had gone to numerous times for a
scheduled appointment that the teacher failed to show up for. The best
idea (not even Colonel Mustard could be this clever) was to use a
jawbreaker for the weapon. It might be a little messy, but the weapon
is edible, leaving no trace back to the perpetrators. Trent's lovely
assistant Jenna was convinced to take part as the lookout posted in the
hallway while we performed the jawbreaker bludgeoning. Everything went
according to plan and the evidence was properly disposed of.
So, that's how events transpired this finals week.
The moral of this story is that professors have feelings too, but who
cares.

| In response to the JadeVixxen post I read earlier today...
" Finals week makes me want to rip my hair out. I am frustrated, angry, and all I want to do is let loose and go crazy. Also, I feel that finals are a conspiracy created by professors to get back at students for falling asleep and forgetting information once the semester is finally over. It's their last chance to get back at us, and they go all out. They make you take these stupid cumulative exams and make up all new questions so you have no chance of passing. They are out to get us, I swear."
I, too have seen this phenomena. Stupid professors...the least they could do is give us a good idea of what's going on...instead, we study all day and night and still fail...is there a trend here??? I submit that we off them all...one at a time so no one gets suspicious... Not the ballroom ones though...or any other pass/fail teachers for that matter...they don't play by the same rules, and as such, they should not be condemned to the fate of their heathen counterparts. So we must rise up against our oppressors. No finals...esp comprehensive ones...that's just plain evil and the work of the devil. You have heard our plea...now act accordingly.

| see? I can update in less than a month... This is for all of you who keep asking me to update 'cause you have nothing better to do than continually hear about my amazingly interesting life...haha ... Well, let's see, after having several crushes on several girls...each w/ a b/f, I've decided that it's definitely best to not date for right now... (As I write this, God's just laughing at me getting ready to put someone in my life to make this even funnier) ...we'll see. I'm currently listening to disney music...gotta love it! It reminds me of the karaoke that I did on Saturday night during Relay for Life...I did a Whole New World and Somewhere Out There...both w/ different girls (the 2nd girl was a great singer). I've met a lot of cool people lately which is always fun...and danced w/ some cool ones too! (Shoutout "Ginger")
Speaking of which...I got invited to do a ballroom competition that I don't think I'll get to do because I can't practice at all all summer... It's cool though...I'm gonna go salsa dancing or at least two stepping almost every Saturday that I can get off... And they definitely said that if possible I still may be able to if I get back in August and can practice because it's in September...then again, there's the bluegrass festival in September too... Let's just hope they're different weekends...
Definitely been getting involved more at my church too! Disciple now was just crazy...7th grade boys...who knew they could be so crazy??? I loved it though...they're good kids. Then I've gotten in choir a little more and now they let me sing in the praise team! I love it. I'm also in a quartet w/ Chris, David, and Larry...they're amazing. This Sunday, I'm leading the youth choir in practice...I'm not gonna lie...I'm a bit nervous... (and the ones that read this, get ready...it could be interesting... )
I cannot wait for summer!!! I'm sooo pumped about having my boys all summer at camp...it's gonna be amazing. God's gonna do some amazing things, and I'm just sooo glad that I get to be a part of it.
For now though, school must be the priority at least for the next 4 1/2 hrs 'til I turn in my paper that I should be working on... Just 2 more pages to go!!! I hope all is very well, and I hope to see you all very soon...either Church for most of you, Dancing for others, or Mike and Ryan (my last suitemates ever...!), just come visit me.
oh, and look at the time of this post... just like old times...

| Much to my chagrin I am compelled to update. If it weren't for the fantastic cookies I received in choir tonight, then I wouldn't do this, but wow...these are some dang good ones. I'm actually eating one while typing.
So let's see, what's been going on w/ me...? Lately, I've been extremely busy w/ school stuff...once I found out that it is incredibly likely that I will be making at least one C this semester I decided that the books are more important than most other pleasures...I'm hanging up the good ol' X-Box control for the time being...a sad day for this little red blooded boy... Umm...
My favorite thing of late has still gotta be ballroom dancing...I'm a HUGE fan! I've learned a lot in the Waltz, Cha-Cha, and Tango lately...how fun!? One of these days we'll have to have a watch party for Shall We Dance and I'll give dance lessons to all you uncoordinated people reading this one...
I'm still loving choir, and I'm so glad that I got into it. Judy (who sits next to me) is telling me that she's got some really cute girls I need to meet... Gotta love her... When she's sitting there talking to me about it, all I can do is think about Fiddler on the Roof and the Matchmaker song...haha! She's incorrigible!
Tonight the roomie and I went and watched Sin City... Really good movie, though there are some bad scenes. Crazy twists throughout. And the best part is the actors...holy cow everyone good was in that movie. (and Jessica Alba is attractive...I'm just being honest.)
Did I earn my cookies? I sure hope so... Sweet dreams to all of you, I'm going to bid you all adieu and farewell... Goodnight children...

| Okay okay!!! Gosh! I guess I should probably update so you people who have nothing better to do than hear about my extraordinary life can come listen to the masterful storyteller in action... Long story short, I'm busy, spring break was good, classes need to end and summer needs to get here really really soon. I'm pretty sure I have my summer job lined up...camp counselor down near austin. I'm also pretty nervous about the Easter musical 'cause this time I have a solo! (no, not so low you can't hear it...) Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well, and I look forward to all the harassing comments I'll get next month when I haven't posted... have a great day everyone!
